Hog Roast Abergavenny recently catered a spectacular wedding at Great Blaenawe Farm in Abergavenny on the 13th of September 2025, serving 70 guests. Catering Managers Harry, Rob, and James delivered a culinary experience that combined the best of southern slow roasting with thoughtful vegetarian options, making the day truly memorable.
The main attraction was the Southern Slow Roast Menu. Guests chose from Texan 24 Hour Beef Brisket, Cajun Spiced Whole Roast Chickens, and Pulled Quarter of Minted Lamb, each option cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour. Accompanied by a selection of bread rolls and wraps, including wholemeal and gluten-free options, the menu offered something for everyone. Smokey Sweet BBQ Glaze, Cajun Hot Pepper Sauce, and Legendary Hickory Bourbon BBQ Sauce added layers of flavour, elevating the slow-roasted meats to another level.
For vegetarian and vegan guests, the team prepared grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers—without halloumi for vegans—served with wraps, tzatziki dip, and sweet and punchy chilli sauce. These alternatives were crafted with the same attention to taste and presentation as the main dishes, ensuring no guest missed out.
Fresh accompaniments perfectly complemented the feast. Guests enjoyed Greek salad, seasonal vegetables, and roasted baby new potatoes, adding colour, texture, and freshness to the meal.
