There’s something truly special about celebrating love not just once, but twice – and that’s exactly what happened at Fforest Farm in Brechfa on 30th August 2025. After tying the knot earlier in the year, the happy couple decided the best way to gather all their family and friends together was with a big summer party filled with laughter, music, and of course, incredible food. That’s where Hog Roast Brechfa, led by catering managers James, Rob, and Harry, came in to deliver a feast fit for the occasion.
At the heart of the menu was our signature whole roasted pig, slow-cooked until the meat was juicy and tender, and the crackling was golden and perfectly crunchy. Served with traditional sage and onion stuffing and sweet apple sauce, it brought a touch of classic celebration dining to the day. Guests had their choice of freshly baked bread rolls and wraps, with gluten free options available so everyone could enjoy the flavours of the hog roast without compromise.
To balance the richness of the pork, the team laid out fresh accompaniments including a crisp mixed salad and our crowd-favourite gourmet coleslaw. Together, these sides provided plenty of colour and freshness, complementing the roast perfectly.
Of course, Hog Roast Brechfa always ensures no one is left out. For vegetarian and vegan guests, the star of the show was our much-loved vegan pulled jackfruit – slow simmered in a smoky hickory BBQ sauce and dressed with crunchy slaw, then served in soft buns. Packed with flavour, this dish proved every bit as indulgent as the hog roast itself.
The feast was served buffet-style on eco-friendly wooden crockery and cutlery, keeping the setup stylish, sustainable, and fuss-free. With 100 guests gathered to celebrate, plates were filled, conversations flowed, and the atmosphere was as warm as the summer sunshine over the Brechfa countryside.
It was more than just a meal – it was a chance for friends and family to relive the joy of the wedding day and create even more lasting memories together. For us at Hog Roast Brechfa, it was an honour to bring the food that helped make this post-wedding celebration unforgettable.
