The Hog Roast Carmarthen team is delighted to be catering an upcoming autumn wedding at The Olde Barns at Penygraig, where 81 guests will gather to celebrate love, laughter, and of course — incredible food. Under the expert guidance of Catering Managers Rob, Harry, and James, our team will deliver a showstopping feast designed to complement the rustic charm of this picturesque Carmarthenshire venue.
As the evening unfolds, the irresistible aroma of our whole roasted pig will fill the air, tempting guests to gather around as our chef carves the golden, crispy crackling and tender, juicy pork. Served with our signature apple sauce and homemade sage and onion stuffing, it will be the perfect centrepiece for a celebration full of warmth, joy, and togetherness.
Guests will enjoy their hog roast with a selection of soft bread rolls and wraps, including gluten-free options, allowing everyone to build their perfect plate. To accompany the star of the show, we’ll be preparing a delicious spread of tomato and mozzarella salad, fresh mixed salad, and our creamy homemade coleslaw — all bursting with colour and flavour. The meal will be completed with a serving of herb-dressed new potatoes, adding a comforting and hearty touch to the menu.
Of course, our vegetarian and vegan guests will be well looked after too. They’ll be treated to our ever-popular grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, or a fully vegan version served without halloumi, paired with wraps, tzatziki dip, and a sweet and punchy chilli sauce — a vibrant and flavourful alternative that always goes down a treat.
The food will be served buffet-style, encouraging guests to mingle, chat, and enjoy their meal in a relaxed, social atmosphere. Everything will be beautifully presented on eco-friendly wooden crockery with matching cutlery, perfectly in keeping with the natural, rustic aesthetic of the venue.
