50th Wedding Anniversary Hog Roast, Stroud.

The Spitting Pig Wales team had a long trip to Stroud today, fortunately the Friday Night traffic on the M4 was light. The venue was Oakridge Lynch Village Hall, for a celebration of Barry & his wife Sue 50th Wedding Anniversary, who had decided on a Hog Roast in Stroud. The village hall was packed with 94 guests all enjoying the music and song from the sole singer/guitarist playing a wide mix of Elvis to Barry Manilow covers.

Spitting Pig Wales had been asked to provide one of their home rear free range pigs from their farm in Llanfynydd. The cooking process for the Hog Roast in Stroud had started 15 hours earlier, the low heat slow cooking producing the soft succulent pulled pork. The accompaniment of soft baked rolls, fresh that day from Llandeilo bakery, homemade sage & onion stuffing and the sweet apple sauce provided a feast for all of the guests. A mixed salad & homemade coleslaw finished off the table layout. The party started to wind down at 10.30pm so Spitting Pig Wales began the process of clearing away, packing up and headed home.
