Preparing for events in the snow

Its a cold day in Cardiff today and there is a thin layer of snow on the ground.  The weather forecasts predicts heavier snow later today so I’m going to prepare and set off in plenty of time for this evenings event.

First of all I need to get together all the equipment I need for tonight that includes any machines I will be using as well as attachments and give them a good clean and service.  Then I will double check we have plenty of the essentials (napkins, paper plates etc) and set off.

Tonight’s event in a fundraiser in Swansea and we will be providing our famous pig in a bun menu at the evening event which is raising money for a welsh children’s charity.  Its not too far of a drive but just in case we run into a blizzard we will be leaving in plenty of time to allow for traffic and delays.

After this evenings event it will be a overnight stay in Swansea as we have a Christmas party there tomorrow.  Its a works Christmas lunch and we will be providing spit roasted turkey with all the trimming for the 80 hard working staff to enjoy together as a sit down meal.  Its a lunch time serve at noon, but this means a very early start for us and we prepare and cook everything from scratch
