Earlier in 2023, Hog Roast Dolgellau was contacted by a community centre in Wales to provide catering at their upcoming Bonfire Night celebration. The event was being hosted for members of the local community to enjoy and was set to include fireworks, a warming bonfire, sparklers, music, and a delicious meal. For the menu, our catering manager Brad was asked to serve a simplified BBQ menu, with a variety of tasty sides. All of our menus can be customised to suit any event, so we were happy to create a catering package that would be perfect for Bonfire Night.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Dolgellau team arrived at the venue in the afternoon to prepare for the 6:00pm serving time. For the main dishes, we served succulent pork sausages, veggie sausages, halloumi and vegetable skewers, and juicy British beef burgers. These dishes were served in fresh bread rolls, with gluten-free rolls also on offer. For the sides, we served homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, corn cobettes, and a selection of seasonal salad dishes. Our menu was on offer from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and we served over 300 guests during this time. Our catering was definitely a great addition to the event and ensured that everyone was warm and satisfied while enjoying the great entertainment. Brad and the rest of the Hog Roast Dolgellau enjoyed getting to watch a great fireworks display while hard at work, which made the event even more enjoyable!
