Hog Roast White Mill – Another Happy Newly Wed Couple

Hog Roast White Mill has catered countless wedding receptions over the years, as well as wedding breakfasts, and it’s a common occurrence these days when our catering services are booked by a wedding planner rather than the happy couple themselves. We recently catered a wedding locally where event and wedding planner Sandra dealt with us from start to finish, from the first phone call to when we were clearing away after cooking up a storm for the newlyweds and their guests.

Hog Roast White MillFor this special occasion, Hog Roast White Mill was asked to provide a three-course meal of the starter served to the tables, the main course served buffet-style and then a dessert selection served to the tables. We can provide all kinds of options, regardless of the occasion you’re celebrating or commemorating, including serving handmade canapés and drinks to welcome your guests, multiple hot or cold sides or alternative dishes to make sure everyone can eat on the day. Whether to satisfy varying personal tastes or to ensure that those with dietary requirements are catered, we’ve got you covered.

In terms of this wedding reception, Sandra conferred with the couple, who decided on our smoked salmon starter, a hog roast complete with crackling, apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing (made into pigs in buns for everyone) and two desserts of profiteroles and summer pudding. We would also prepare two fresh salads and provide a vegetarian option of melon to start and a main of veggie skewers.

On the day of the wedding, our Hog Roast White Mill team spent hours preparing and cooking a great feast for the couple and their sixty guests. We started by roasting the hog for more than five hours and then nearer to the time of service, we freshly prepared the starters of melon and smoked salmon with prawns and avocado, the two homemade desserts, a Waldorf and a Caesar salad and the skewers, which featured grilled halloumi and fresh vegetables to be served with our Tzatziki dip.

By the time the hog was resting, now that it was perfectly cooked inside and out, everyone had arrived to celebrate the couple and it was time to serve up some truly tasty grub.
